Maintenance free. Our docks are priced with 5/4 radius edge Western Red Cedar as the standard decking material. The boards are glued and screwed from the  bottom into 4ft by 4ft panels. The panels are removable to decrease the weight of the dock as itis being installed or removed, and to facilitate storage during the winter. Removing and storing the decking for the winter months extends the useable life and appearance. While Western Red Cedar does not have a warranty, it is a naturally rot-resistant wood and many customers have told us that they have had their cedar docks from 15-20 years with some saying even 30 years  with only minimal board replacements needed. AquaDek is our newest decking option. These panels are fastened directly to the dock framework and adds 170# to the total weight of the dock.
