FAQ

What makes Walks on Water different from a dock dealer?

We design it, build it, and sell it — all right here in Clear Lake. When you buy from a dealer, you’re paying for their overhead and their markup. When you buy from us, you’re paying for the dock. That’s it. The savings are real, and so is the quality.

How much does it cost?

Every dock and lift is custom, so the price depends on your setup — but we can do most quotes right over the phone. Call us with your water depth and distance from shore for a dock, or your boat’s weight and width for a lift, and we’ll get you a number fast. Free estimate, no obligation.

How long does it take to build?

Less than 2 weeks for most projects. We don’t mess around.

Do you deliver?

Yes — we deliver anywhere we can drive, with a charge based on mileage. We also offer a rental trailer if you’d rather pick it up yourself.

What water depth do I need for a boat lift?

We recommend a minimum of 34 inches of water depth for a lift to work properly.

How deep can a dock be installed?

We don’t recommend going deeper than 10 feet — beyond that, stability becomes an issue.

Do you offer warranties?

Yes. We offer limited lifetime warranties on welds for our aluminum docks and lifts. If we built it, we stand behind it.

What do I need to know before I call?

For a dock: know your water depth and how far the shoreline sits from 3 feet of water. For a lift: know your boat’s weight and width. That’s honestly all we need to get started.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes — we offer military discounts and cash/check discounts. Just ask when you call. We also run seasonal promotions, so it’s always worth reaching out to see what’s current.
